The aim is to share my passion for golf history. From Old Tom and Bobby Jones to St Andrews and Augusta - I'll keep you informed of my latest projects be they books, TV shows or films.

Every now and again, I'll share news of some new great books and also the ones that have influenced me the most. For example, this book had the greatest influence on me. It redefined what golf books should be about.

It is the HWW Book Award winning Tom Morris of St Andrews, The Colossus of Golf, 1821-1908. 

This book tells the story of St Andrews and the people who helped make it what is today. What makes it so special is that it re-told the history of Old Tom but with fantastic levels of research. Importantly it is well written.

I recommend this edition, it is wonderful. Beautiful navy linen St Andrews edition with end papers. Simply put, this book inspired me to write Footsteps. Needless to say, it is a treasured item.
